I had the opportunity this morning to interview a friend and colleague; Chad Hyams, Coach, Author, and Owner of Ember Seminars. I dove into Chad's coaching approach that focuses in all areas of L.I.F.E. (Love, Improvement, Fitness, and Economics), and how he helps others achieve greatness. We covered topics including what does accountability truly mean, how do you separate yourself from the sea of agents, why I don't order Jack and Pepsi, and much more valuable information. Whether you're inside or outside the real estate industry, or you're just looking to improve in key areas of your life, tune in to this interview that is approximately 43 minutes long.

This morning, I had eXp Realty LLC agent, Darren Sager based out of New Jersey reach out to me and ask what are the 7 common problems real estate agents are looking to solve as a business owners from my perspective as a coach. While this question can be challenging and a case by case basis with the number of real estate agents in the industry, there are some patterns that rise to the surface. These 7 common problems that I will address below are exactly the reason every agent should hire a coach, find their tribe, and engage in training that brings value to their business.

Blogging is one of the most powerful marketing tools available to you as an entrepreneur. And social media packs a powerful marketing punch, too. Google Analytics is astounding for the data it collects about traffic to your website and where it’s coming from, better than a hound dog on a coon hunt. But even as powerful as each one of these marketing tools is individually, they pack an unbeatable punch when used together as a powerful blogging combo!
Punch One of the Powerful Blogging Combo
The Benefits of Blogging
When I tell people I write blog posts to market my clients’ businesses, journaling usually pops up in their minds. But blogging is much more than journaling. And it does so much more for a business. The benefits of blogging make it the most powerful marketing tool for every business owner, yes, every.
Here are 10 of them:
Having been a business coach since 2010, I've seen the industry evolve, and the people that claim to be professional business coaches re-establish standards on what is acceptable. One thing that has been a pet peeve for me over the years is coaches using curse words in their messaging under the guise of it being a "pattern interrupt". What is a pattern interrupt? A pattern interrupt is something used when the conversation or thinking is stuck in a rut. It can produce momentary confusion, which then allows the conversation or thinking to pivot to something else.
Here my thoughts on the topic in the video above.
Are you looking for a coach that doesn't use curse words as a pattern interrupt rather a coach that asks powerful questions to help you unlock your potential in the business world? Let's connect today over a FREE business strategy call. Bring to the call a topic that I can help you create strategies around to overcome. Schedule your time today by visiting my website.

I hear a lot of people on social media and other forms of media tout that they are self-made. They wear it like a badge of honor, and no one can tell them any different. The story usually consists of living a life presented with no opportunities, no support, and through grit and grind clawed their way to success. I don't believe this to be true. I do believe the hard work, taking action, and commitment to being the best one can be at their craft. What I mean by no one is self-made is that we all have a supporting cast whether visible or behind the scenes. I use the example of last night's game, game 3 of the NBA Finals between the Toronto Raptors and Golden State Warriors.
Steph Curry shot the lights out with 47 points in Game 3, yet the Golden State Warriors still lost. See it does not matter how great Steph Curry is as an athlete, even with his heroic efforts, he could not take his team to victory. See I believe victory, even in the eyes of...
You've probably heard variations of this phrase.
"The grass is always greener on the other side."
"The grass isn't greener on the other side; it's just spray painted."
The grass isn't greener on the other side; there is just a septic tank below it."
Something that is more true to me everyday is "The grass is always greener where you water it". I see people everyday make moves between brokerages with the thought something is going to be different. More than likely, nothing will change. What would happen if we just watered the grass right where we are now? What if we formed the habits necessary to be successful right where we are now? What if we took action to secure new business right where we are now?
Folks, the grass doesn't change, you've changed (watered grass), or you've chosen not to change (unwatered brown, dying grass).
If you need help growing right where you are, we need to be in conversation. Send me a message, and let's just have a conversation. Having over 10,000 booked...
There are two things that cause money problems.
My wife and I were invited to attend the 70th Anniversary of Wholesale Electric; a family owned business located in Houston, Texas. The evening included crawfish, fried catfish, potatoes, corn, and beer. Performing at the party was Texas's own Cory Morrow. Watching Cory and his band play a 2 hour, non-stop set, made me think about mastering my craft.
In Malcom Gladwell's book Outliers, he states that anyone can master a skill with 10,000 hours of practice. It is often said, "time on task over time" will equal a desired outcome. When I look at my coaching practice since 2010, I've booked over 10,000 hours in coaching sessions with business owners. When a coaching client says that I taught a particular script with ease, or I make a skill like time management seem so easy, what they are really experiencing is the result of working on a skill with over 10,000 hours of practice.
Are you a new business owner? If so, give yourself time. Often times when speaking with...
In coaching conversations, I am often asked questions about dealing with competition. Hear my personal thoughts in the video above. The questions are similar to the following:
The questions may vary from the above, yet they follow the same line of thinking of someone that may have a victim mentality; especially questions that start with WHY. Why do people choose to take the energy in their life and business and focus on their "competition"? What would happen if that energy was focused on developing your business? What are the possibilities? Are they really competition? No because at the end of the day, your "competition", and those having success, are not thinking about you.
We live in a big world, and you are created to be unique. What are you doing to build your personal empire? What if you dumped the energy that you would...
I would like to share my thoughts on taking action both in your business and in life. You can hear my full thoughts on this topic by listening to the above video. Taking action, and more importantly the right action, in your business and life is the only way you will ever get results. I've now been coaching business owners since 2010, and what I've found taught and coached from other companies is that business owners should focus on the way they think and feel. As a business coach, there are a couple of things I disagree with this approach.
