Trust is foundational and our social construct is broken without the ability to trust one another. Trust is defined as a firm belief in reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something. Who or what do you trust in? Has trust been broken with you?
I trust in God's plan for my life. I know that I am exactly where I need to be, and He provides for me accordingly. This is a firm belief I have, and I know I can rely on His Truths to guide me in life whether it be as a husband, a father, a friend, or a business owner. Here are a few versus on the topic of trust:
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me? - Psalm 56:3-4
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. - Mark 11:24
Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after a lie! - Psalm 40:4
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. - Proverbs 3:5-6
While I will trust that Jimbo brings a win, my true trust is in that which is greater, and He will not fail me.
Both in business and life, be careful where you place your trust, and also have the ability and openness to trust. Trust is a cornerstone.
