Entrepreneurs, Are You Catching the Right Wave? Lessons from The Wedge on Balboa Peninsula

I watched surfers at The Wedge today on Balboa Peninsula. They waited to catch the right wave. When they caught the right one, they cruised back to the shore.

My entrepreneurs…are you seeking the right wave? What I recognized with the surfers is not every wave was the right one. They would swim through the wave waiting for “the wave”. How true is this in life or business? We are all looking to catch the perfect wave.

The answer is to be patient. What may initially look like the wave to catch may be selling yourself short of a bigger wave with greater potential.

Wait. Be patient. Anticipate. Seek the big waves to ride back to shore.
