With a rich history that starts with the original habitation of the Caddo Indians, later Spanish colonists when Texas was considered part of the Viceroyalty of New Spain in the 18th century, and finally, in 1839 when John Neely Bryan planted a stake near three forks of the Trinity River only for Dallas to officially be founded in 1841, Dallas, Texas is now home to over 1.3 million people.
