It's been 12 weeks, and I am super happy with the results, yet my journey to continue to lose weight will keep moving forward. New habits have been established, and I've been given new tools to continue the process of shedding weight.

Yes, I am a business owner that offers coaching services, and first and foremost, I am a human being in this crazy world just like you. While I might excel at coaching people to results, what I did not excel at for a long period of time was taking care of my health.
 
I came to the decision about 13 weeks ago to change that thanks to the advice of a friend in the real estate industry. BTW - sometimes you need those friends that hit you with some hard truth. I signed up for a 12 week program offered by Joel Staley of Joel Staley Fitness. Though skeptical at first, because I've tried almost everything with no results, I trusted in the process.
 
Today, I am between 35 - 40 lbs down from my weight in May. It has changed my life, and with the renewed energy, I've been able to do so much more in both my life and business. While great, it doesn't stop with graduating from the program. It is a lifestyle change and a new set of habits embraced.
 
Why do I share this? This is something I would not have shared before because I felt shame. I share for 2 reasons.
 
  1. For those in my circle, those that know, trust, and support me, I want you to know I truly care about you. If you're struggling with health, do something about it. It's not easy, and trust me, until you're in the situation, you don't know how difficult it is to correct. Yet, it starts with making a decision to do something different from what you're doing now.
  2. With new energy that comes from improving your health, you will be able to do so much more in your business. I've maintained and grown my book of coaching business, launched a new website and offerings for clients, and I'm knee deep in a book that should be out in the next 30 - 60 days. I promise you that back in early May, I did not have the energy to do all this.
 
What got me to where I hit rock bottom in my health? Excuses. In the last year, I had read Ryan Stewman's book 'G Code', and one phrase stood out. F*$%K your excuses. I was my own worst enemy. God had been placing it on my heart for months to make a change, and I thought I knew better. I was wrong.
 
Jeremy, how do I start? You've got to be tired of being tired. You've got to put a stake in the ground, have your William B. Travis moment (for those that know Texas history), and take a stand for you. Is it easy? No. Is it necessary? Yes. You will be glad to have made the decision in time. Some will support you, and most will not or care very little, and this is a decision about you not them.
